StoRIES was present at the fifth edition of the Energy Storage Global Conference (ESGC), which offers a unique opportunity to industry, researchers and policymakers to exchange views on key issues for the storage sector. This year’s edition took place in a hybrid (digital + in-person) event format, from 11 to 13 October, with the in-person sessions hosted in Brussels, Belgium.
On day 3 of the ESGC, focusing on the latest developments in cutting-edge energy storage technologies, our partner from the University of Perugia, Linda Barelli, was invited to speak on the current state-of-the-art and the future of combined energy storage technology deployment in the European market, and the challenges and opportunities faced by combined energy storage technologies, in the example of EU-funded R&I project StoRIES, during the session entitled “Combining Different Energy Storage Technologies”.
Representatives from around the world came together for three days to discuss the latest developments in energy storage technologies, regulatory and policy frameworks, and the future storage market. With such an audience, this event was a great opportunity to explain the project and showcase EU excellence in research and innovation focused on the development of the energy industry with groundbreaking solutions for sustainable energy storage.
