Sixth Transnational Access Call

Updated: Dec 16, 2024

The Sixth StoRIES Transnational Access Call is now open, offering students and researchers in hybrid energy storage the opportunity to access research infrastructures across Europe. The StoRIES project aims to address one of the main challenges for energy storage development, the economic factor, by providing access to world-class research infrastructures and services. These efforts focus on improving materials for devices and optimising hybrid energy systems to make energy technologies more economically competitive.

The topic of this call, which will close on 15 January 2025, is Computational studies on solutions for hybrid energy storage systems. This call is exclusively focused on virtual access to the research infrastructures, in this case, the Eni cluster. The scope of this call involves different sources of innovation, including material research, development and testing of a component or device, simulation of systems or system components, and the integration of the innovation in the energy system.

This topic covers multiple energy storage technologies and their combinations to enable long-duration energy storage and is open to all Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).  Applicants are also encouraged to explore further assessments of the European Union's energy storage needs.

This call is open to applicants from academia, research institutions, SMEs, and industry. You can learn more details about this call and the application procedure here.
